Ribbons for Ukraine

The people of Lichfield are showing their colours in solidarity with the suffering of the people of Ukraine.

Members of our Congregation are assembling ribbons in blue and yellow for people to wear to show that they are holding the Ukrainian people in their prayers. Ribbons are available at the welcome desk in the Cathedral for a minimum donation of 50p.

We feel that it would be a wonderful statement of our concern for the Ukrainian people, during these terrible times, if other churches would consider starting their own working parties – with a little blue and yellow ribbon and some patience we can share this statement of support to the wider community.

All proceed will go to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Prayers for Ukraine

Each Thursday a member of the clergy team will lead prayers for Ukraine from 12 noon to 12.30. Please do join us if you can to light candles and offer prayers for peace.  A prayer station will also be available during our opening hours.
