High Sheriff Stops off at Lichfield Cathedral
In the first week of August Charlie Bagot Jewitt, the High Sheriff of Staffordshire, is embarking on a 300-mile cycle ride around the region to help highlight the wonders of Staffordshire as a staycation destination. As part of his ride, the High Sheriff will be stopping off at Lichfield Cathedral, one of the many jewels in the Staffordshire crown, where he will be met by the Dean of Lichfield, the Very Rev’d Adrian Dorber and the Mayor of Lichfield, Cllr Deborah Baker.
The Very Rev’d Adrian Dorber said: “I am delighted to be able to greet the High Sheriff for on this ambitious cycle ride around Staffordshire. He is a great supporter of the region and of Lichfield Cathedral. I would like to thank Charlie for his efforts to promote the County as a staycation destination, we certainly have a lot to offer in this often-overlooked part of the UK.”
This cycle tour of the region will stop by Lichfield Cathedral on Saturday 8 August at around 12.00 and before moving onto the next destination, Fradley Junction and then the finish-line at Blithfield Hall. More information can be found here: https://www.highsheriffofstaffordshire.co.uk/
