WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE?
Poems will be popping up all over the city centre this October as we get ready for our first poetry festival in the Cathedral.
We’ve trawled the length and breadth of Britain to bring you some of the nation’s favourites.
Rudyard Kipling’s If, William Wordsworth’s I wandered lonely as a cloud” William Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 Let me not to the marriage of true minds, Edward Lear's The Owl and the Pussycat and Remember by Christina Rossetti have all been named in the nation's favourite top ten over the years.
And we thought we'd throw in some lesser known poems too...just because.
But what is your favourite poem?
