Emma Evans Girl Chorister Fund

Emma Evans was a member of the Cathedral’s Development Committee for several years.  Thoughtful, dynamic, intelligent, and kind, she and husband Rupert founded the Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Café, a real Staffordshire landmark.  Emma died in 2023 following a long and brave battle with cancer, leaving Rupert and their sons Archie and Jasper.

Emma had been inspired by the Cathedral’s music, in particular the girl choristers, and the Emma Evans Girl Chorister has been introduced in her memory.  Thanks to the generosity of many people, some who knew Emma and some who didn’t, there is funding in place for four years (2023-2026).  The Emma Evans Girl Chorister will be installed as Head Chorister each September.
