Our Guardians play a crucial role in helping the Dean and Chapter maintain the historic fabric of the cathedral building for years to come. Their support makes sure we can invest in essential care and maintenance, which helps prevent the build-up of more costly repairs, as well as enabling specific restoration and conservation projects.
Membership is available at three levels: Trefoil, Quatrefoil and Cinquefoil. Membership begins at Trefoil for £3,000 (discounted by Direct Debit).
We offer Guardians a unique opportunity to get to know the Cathedral and its collections in great depth, through a range of exclusive specialist-led events, tours and behind-the-scenes visits. Guardians receive an annual report by the Clerk of Works so you can see the difference your support is making.
As a Guardian, you will also enjoy opportunities to use Cathedral spaces for your own events, as well as complimentary membership of the Patrons, and getting to know other Guardians at the exclusive annual Guardians Dinner in the Cathedral.
