The daily life of the Cathedral is the responsibility of the Dean, Residentiary Canons, and other members who constitute the Chapter of Lichfield Cathedral. They are supported by the Cathedral Council, whose members are either elected or nominated by the Bishop of Lichfield.
They are also joined in their work by the College of Canons (a number of senior priests from the Diocese of Lichfield), the full and part time lay staff and the volunteers.
