Join Us on The Beach

Saturday 22 July - Sunday 3 September

The Beach is returning to Lichfield Cathedral by popular demand!

We loved welcoming you, your friends and families to The Beach in 2022, and we’re excited to welcome you back this year! There will be sand, decking, deck chairs, children’s activities, refreshments and more for you and the whole family to enjoy.

What's Happening on the Beach

We're inviting everyone to come to the Beach and enjoy the space. Borrow a deck chair for a while and put your feet up, build sandcastles with the kids, grab a drink and some snacks, and while away the day.

The Beach is free! Pop along whenever you like.

Kick back and relax this summer at your Cathedral.

Deck chairs will be available 10:00-17:00 (subject to availability).

  • Treat the space with respect - let’s keep it fun for everyone
  • Please put your litter in the recycling or general waste bins
  • Return any borrowed items (deck chairs, toys & games)
  • Please ensure children are accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times
  • Users of the beach and associated activities do so at their own risk
  • Users of the beach remove their shoes at their own risk

Lichfield Cathedral, and those working on their behalf, have taken necessary steps to make the beach and associated activities safe for visitors. The Cathedral will take no liability for injury due to circumstances outside of their control - each visitor has a duty to take care of his or her own safety.

Please always keep your belongings safe - Lichfield Cathedral will not accept liability for loss of personal property. Visitors who damage or deface property of Lichfield Cathedral, or property on loan to Lichfield Cathedral, will be held responsible for any necessary repairs or replacement.
