Social & Faithful Prescribing

Saturday 25 March | 14:00-17:00 in College Hall, The Close

What is social prescribing? How might the church engage? In what ways can social prescribing support your church's mission to be a hub for healing for the whole community?

In this workshop, in collaboration with the Guild of Health and St Raphael,  we welcome experts in the field to help you explore social prescribing. By the end of this session you will have:

  • an understanding of what social prescribing is and how it can be accessed;
  • an understanding of the health context in which social prescribing is provided;
  • explored what this could mean for your church and community;
    considered how church communities might work with Social Prescribing Link Workers;
  • shared some examples of how churches can engage with social prescribers.
  • This workshop would be ideal for church leaders, community and pastoral leaders or medical professionals who want to engage with the church.
