LOOKING TO THE MOON FOR INSPIRATION
We’ve gone all moonstruck this summer as you may have noticed! With only days left for you to take your own One Small Step on our fabulous artwork by Artist Peter Walker that has transformed our nave, we’re pleased as punch to tell you that our very own Staffordshire poet laureate, Emily Rose Galvin has taken that theme and created a lunar inspired workshop especially for our first poetry festival.
Yup. Over 90 minutes, workshoppers will explore the mythology of the moon - looking at its cultural, historical and mythical connections - to ignite that spark of creativity. Come on, let’s create something stellar!
Emily, from Lichfield, is the current and first female poet laureate for the county and has been writing for both page and stage since 2014. She reads regularly across the country, from local Spoken Word evenings to supporting none other than Canadian poet Sabrina Benaim on her tour.
