Countdown to The Cathedral Illuminated 2017
With only one week to go before the Cathedral’s festive illuminations we thought we would remind you of some important information.
- The event is ticket only.
- Please bring your ticket or evidence of purchase (or e-ticket).
- Your ticket is timed. Please leave enough time to find a parking space, use the toilets, and have your tickets checked.
- The ticket will provide access into the Close where there will be a number of projections outside and inside the Cathedral.
- There is strictly no parking or drop off in the Cathedral Close.
- There is no access for pedestrians or vehicles from Beacon Street. For car parks in the city centre please click here.
- Access to and from the Close will be from Dam Street only. This is the planned start and end of the experience.
- Toilets are located at the Old Stables which is just off the entrance to the Close from Dam Street. There are no toilets in the Cathedral.
- Please do not bring large bags as these may need to be searched.
- If you have accessibility needs please make yourself known to a member of the Cathedral team upon entry.
- The illuminations are timed, on a continuous loop and at multiple locations around The Close and inside the Cathedral.
- The illuminations are a mix of light and sound and may involve flashing images and loud noises.
- There will be three areas across the site to buy something to nibble and a warm drink.
- The gift area will be open at the end of the experience for any last minute present buying!
- Whilst we cannot second guess the weather please be sure to dress up warm.
- We anticipate the illuminations to take about an 1 hr (30 minutes outside and 30 minutes inside)
