Come follow Christ
The Bishop of Lichfield invites people to ‘Come follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad’ when he launches the new Direction of Travel for the Diocese at a special celebration at the Cathedral on Saturday 20 May.
Everyone will gather at 11.00 to worship before being encouraged to spend time at five different stations in and around the Cathedral:
- A live performance of the story of St Chad by Simon Airey
- A ‘Vocation Location’ to hear short, real-life stories of people’s calling
- An interactive prayer area by the Community of St Chad
- A Discipleship Marketplace resource area where people can find out more about work in schools, chaplaincies, churches, Fresh Expressions and other areas
- An experience of multi-cultural worship by the Sanctus St Mark’s congregation which works with asylum seekers and refugees in Stoke-on-Trent.
This event is FREE and pre-booking is not required. People are encouraged to arrive from 10.30 when there will be a time of informal worship.
Drinks will be provided and people are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
