Tickets still available to see the City of London Sinfonia!
Friday 7 October | 19.30 - 21.30
Tickets are still available to see the world-class City of London Sinfonia at Lichfield Cathedral! The Sinfonia will perform pieces by Handel, Bach and MacMillan, and will be joined on stage by our very own Lichfield Cathedral Choir!
Handel's Coronation Anthems, including the fabulous "Zadok the Priest", was written for the Coronation of George II in 1727. James MacMillan, one of Britain's most revered composers, has written his own anthem especially for this tour, with support from the Friends of Cathedral Music. Bach's "Suite No. 3 in D" contains perhaps his best known piece of music: "Air on the G String".
