Tenor Lay Vicar Choral & Liturgy Assistant
In our Tenor Lay Vicar Choral we are looking for a singer with a passion for the musical heritage of the English Cathedral tradition; by combining this role with that of Liturgy Assistant we hope to attract someone with a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of Church Services to join the wider team.
As Tenor Lay Vicar Choral you will be expected to sing for around 5 services per week; as Liturgy Assistant you will prepare service sheets, rotas and more to enable the smooth running of the Cathedral’s worship together with liaising with those who wish to hold services in the Cathedral.
We are looking to appoint someone with a great voice, integrity, and a passion for detail to help deliver these goals working as part of the Cathedral team.

Hours: |
Lay Vicar schedule – Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday – Evensong & Sunday Eucharist & Evensong Liturgy Assistant role; 15 hours per week, Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri mornings |
Holidays: |
These essentially align with the school calendar, with the addition of services leading up to Christmas and Easter. Liturgy Assistant role; 24 days per annum + bank holidays (pro-rata for Part time hours) |
