Following the retirement of our current archaeologist, we are seeking our next Cathedral Archaeologist as a contracted consultant.
The work of the Cathedral Archaeologist is a statutory role as set out in the Care of Cathedrals Measure 2011 (link below). The new Cathedral Archaeologist will be responsible for the archaeological remains in and around the grade 1 listed Cathedral building, its estate and precinct, and is required to provide an annual report to Chapter.
If you are inspired by the thought of becoming the next Lichfield Cathedral Archaeologist, helping to care for the Cathedral, estate and precinct for future generations, then we’d love to hear from you.
A covering letter enclosing your CV along with a completed application form must be provided to apply for this role.
Applications must be received by midnight on Sunday 16th November and emailed to recruitment@lichfield-cathedral.org
