Aim: to describe what happens at a Christian church and to name and describe the key features.
Subject Objectives:
- SACRE Staffordshire: 1.2a Find out about how and when people worship and ask questions about why this is important to believers.
- SACRE Staffordshire: 1.3a Explore as appropriate the special nature of artefacts used in worship.
- SACRE Staffordshire: 1.3b Identify symbolic actions, gestures and rituals and talk about how they are used as part of worship and ceremonies.
- History: Pupils should be taught about significant historical events, people and places in their own locality.
