Key Stage 1 & 2

On this page you will find details of our excellent opportunities for Key Stages 1, 2 and SEN learners ensuring that visits are differentiated to suit the needs and prior knowledge of students. Details of tours can be downloaded in PDF format, below.

The programme of visits on offer were designed and developed to support learning within several subject areas, including Religious Education, History, Mathematics, Science, and Art. All our visits support the provision of effective Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education (SMSC).

Through our expert guides and education team, we are able to offer tours on a variety of subjects, the tours listed below are the most commonly requested tours, but we can deliver tours on a variety of subjects and areas, from Christianity and links to others faiths to the English Civil War, so please do get in touch to arrange a bespoke tour which suits the needs of your students and your school. It is also possible to mix and match elements of tours to suit a visit. We are also happy to work with your school to provide resources and support for delivering learning outcomes pre and post your visit to the Cathedral.

A half day visit with a tour currently costs £3.30 per student with a £20 administration fee. Our current practice is to split groups up into around 15 students per 1 guide.

For more information on any of the tours or to discuss a visit, contact the Education Office on 01543 306240 or email education@lichfield-cathedral.org
