Donate to Lichfield Cathedral
For over 1,000 years Lichfield Cathedral has welcomed visitors, reaching out and inspiring thousands of people, speaking to them of God’s glory and his love for each one of them. This is a beautiful, special and spiritual place, imbued with the thoughts and memories of all those that have come here.
Today, Lichfield Cathedral provides a glorious focus for worship in the wider community and physically within the City of Lichfield. The Cathedral reaches out to communities across the diocese, providing support to a wide range of missional and charitable activities, and the Cathedral itself provides space for worship, community and cultural events. This follows a tradition that has been handed down to us through the generations since the first Cathedral was founded by St Chad.
The Cathedral is a Grade 1 listed building surrounded by one of the most well-preserved Cathedral Closes in the UK. It is one of only three Cathedrals with three spires in the UK and was the only moated Cathedral.
It costs £5,000 a day to keep Lichfield Cathedral open to visitors and as a place of worship. Please give as generously as possible.
