Founded in 1937 as a separate charity (no. 1102791), The Friends has members from across the UK and around the world.
Each year the Friends grant funds to meet detailed requests for assistance, with contributions to projects ranging from repairs and conservation to new equipment and liturgical art.
Friends enjoy regular updates by email or post, an annual report with interesting articles, and invitations to social events and trips throughout the year.

Supporting the Friends of Lichfield Cathedral by donating shares
A great way to support the work of The Friends is to gift shares. Particularly advantageous if you are a UK taxpayer as gifts of shares may attract a double tax benefit:
